Arriving in Taipei again was fun. The conferences were outstanding.

I was truly humbled by the outpouring of invitations, gifts and awards bestowed on me.

Even more so, I truly appreciated the opportunity to revisit with my old friends and colleagues and to make new connections.

La USPTO modificó las Reglas de práctica de marcas registradas, que van a entrar en vigencia el 3 de agosto de 2019.

La nueva regla requiere que todos los solicitantes de marcas con registro en el extranjero, los solicitantes de registro y las partes en los procedimientos de la Junta de juicios y marcas registradas, estén representados en los Estados Unidos Oficina de Patentes y Marcas por un abogado con licencia para ejercer la abogacía en los Estados Unidos.

En consecuencia, planeamos ofrecer un descuento sustancial (10%) en los honorarios de abogados para todas las solicitudes nuevas presentadas por solicitantes extranjeros desde el 31 de julio hasta el 30 de septiembre de 2019.

This year, in Boston we were pleased to have brought some of our old friends and a few new ones "out to the ballgame" for an exclusive reception and we were also fortunate to have attended a number of other formal and informal events.
